SC - Drying chicken meat

Ras replied to my questions about drying chicken meat for soups:

Thanks, Ras. For some reason, maybe because I've never seen instructions for
beef 
jerky that said to cook it first, it never occured to me to cook the chicken first.

We're going to have to try this. It should be a lot cheaper than using the
canned chicken.
