Tandoor, tannur,tennur, tandir,tandore, tamdir, tandur, tanir, tanoor, etc.
mean oven in various Turkic languages.  The common form is the clay,
barrel-shaped oven, but the word can be used to describe any oven.

One of these years, I'd like to play with one, just to learn the techniques.
