Actually, the publication of Digby is just post period but the creation of
the document is period.  Digby lived & was knighted in period.  However,
his writings were published by his heirs after his death.

I believe that these recipes were being collected during period and
therefore are a valid SCA source.  But I plan to include these explanations
whenever I use it for documentation!
