SC - Cheesy question

I seem to remember reading of one French cheese that is legended to date to
Charlemenge, Charlemange,.... oh heck...  Carlus Magnus.  It was reportedly
served to him and he liked it so much he taxed the community several wheels
a year.  I will do further research as boxes are unpacked (just moved).
