Hi, I just subscribed to this list, and I wanted to give a short
introduction about myself. My name is Sabine Wyndbourne, mka Melissa
Lawrence. Currently I reside in the Canton of Arrow's Flight, Artemisia
(Provo, Utah). I have done about 6 feasts now, and I really enjoy the
research that goes into the preparation, as well as the cooking and
presentation of the feast itself. For the recipes and background
information I've mainly relied on _Pleyn Delit_ (and all the rest of the
works by Constance B. Hieatt and Sharon Butler including _Curye on
Inglysch_), Terence Scully's books, _Le Ménagier de Paris_, and _Cariadoc's
Miscellany_. I try to make my feasts as tasty and period as possible (no
potatoes in my kitchen!--I usually do 12-14th century feasts). I really
enjoy doing subtleties, and I constantly look for new ideas while doing my
research. I'm currently preparing for a winter solstice feast with a
late-period theme, and I would appreciate any suggestions on sources to use
and on subtleties (with references, if possible). I'm also looking for a
source of verjuice. I appreciate your comments!
