SC - Real feasts?

And I'm sure the food you cook is close to period. Perhaps she is thinking
of aspects of the feast other than the food. Hall decorations? The fact that
often your status determined what you ate, with the household head getting the
most variety, the guest the next greatest variety and on down the line. The
use of entertainment during the feast. The fact that forks were not used in
most cultures as eating utensils.

I don't think the inquiry was meant as a put-down, but rather someone
striving for more authenicity.
