Yes, I've had the Anasazi beans, and they're very similar to the kidney or
pinto beans, just seem to take a bit more cooking. Actually, when I make my
(heretical) chili, I use several varieties of beans, depending on what's on
hand, as well as several varieties of chilis- it seems to give the chili a
fuller, richer flavour.
