SC - tomatoes?

This one gets kicked around regularly.  Tomatoes are late period for Spain
and Italy, but their use is very limited.  Gerard does give a recipe in his
Herball and there is one from 16th Century Italy in Cariadoc's Miscellany
(IIRC).

I would recommend looking in Stefan's Florilegium for information from
previous discussions.  The tomato listings do not appear in the new URL, ao
