While everyone put forth their theories about freezing barley I spent the 
past 48 hr. cooking a cup of barley putting it in my freezer and thawing it 
out and reheating it in the microwave this evening. It worked just fine. Go 
ahead and pre-make your dish and freeze it. To reheat, simply cover it 
tightly with foil and put it in the oven at 350 F for 30 minutes or until 
heated through. Fluff and serve.
