Hello, Cairistiona here again.

First, allow me to apologize. Master Adamantius has pointed out in his own
inimicable manner that, at some point during yesterday's replies, I referred
to you as m'lord. After taking the time to educate me, in graphic and quite
fantastical prose I might add ;-), that you are indeed of the fairer (and my
favorite!) gender, I do offer my most humble and sincere apologies milady.
If Master A's ummmm.... ahhhhhh..... descriptive arguement on your behalf
was only half exageration, then I can only offer in my defense that the durn
fingers don't always do what the brain tells them. Of course, copius
quantities of bourbon had absolutely nothing to do with it, I assure
you.........

Puck, in German the verb moves to the end of the clause if it's a
subordinate clause, so in that case that confused you that is what
happened.

ahhh.. thank you for setting me straight. It has been, well, more years
than I care to admit, since I have studied German or used it in any form.
Apparently I have besotted more grey matter than I had suspected.

Ingwer is the word for ginger, but it would appear from the rest of
the text that the mixture is already made and we're just shaping it
now, hence my looking for an alternative meaning.

So a dusting with ginger was too much of a stretch?

As I am not a native speaker, I don't have such a wide vocab as most
German-speaking adults, but on the other hand I do have an honours
degree in Middle High German, and this kind of lateral connection to
find the correct meaning in a given instance tends to happen fairly
often.

Cairistiona

Thankyou, and again, my apologies, Puck
