I have a problem I'd like advice on from the list.
I'd like to have a period looking cook stove for our encampment as well as for
future competitions. Given the "above-the-ground-enclosed" constraints of our
area, does anyone have any ideas? Remember it must be fairly portable. I
would prefer something with a stable hot surface for placing at least two
large pots upon at a time. We've been using a fifty five gallon drum cut in
half lengthwise and welded to legs with a grill top. That works really well,
but it does not look period. We are attempting an authentic look for our
encampment, and I feel bad that as camp cook my working area is less than I'd
like it to look.
