In the TEXTILE ARTS section:
dyeing-msg       (135K)  8/19/98    Dyeing techniques and discussion.
  (This one probably will not indicate which ones are safe for eating but
   the dyes mentioned might be worth checking further.)

And in the FOOD section:
p-fd-coloring-msg (14K) 11/30/98    Period food colorings.
