beats me, but the recipe looks to be firmly modern! it looks like they took a
generic chicken and cream of mushroom soup and tried to medieval it. i dont
really like to cook with mead, just drink it. i know people still made meade in
europe straight through to now, and i remember somebody making meade in the 60s.
