Except for the line alluding to some non-existent  item referred to as a
'modern palate', I feel the review was very accurate. The book actually gives
lie to the irroneous concept that there is such a thing as a 'modern palate'
and has become one of my favorites for retreaving information about the
culinary practices of the northern barbarian peoples.
