So far as some forbidden items are concerned (such as pork) this is true.
However, the vast bulk of Jewish food restrictions are not at all similar. For
instance, al-Isalm forbids fermented beverages and does NOT forbid the
combination of milk/meat (e.g. yogurt is used as a sauce ingredient in many
meat dishes).
I would be interested in a list of the similarities if at all possible
detailing the the prohibitions you mention as common between al-Islam and the
Jewins people. . Thanks in advance.
