IIRC, they were not specifically assigned to period. You hard boil the eggs in
water first. Then crack and roll tyhe egg being careful not to remove the
shell. Rreplace them in the pot.  Cover with water and drop in a 'handful' of
teabags (regular tea bags, I use 'Rosebud' brand. Bring to a boil . Reduce
heat to simmer and cook for at least 20 to 30 minutes. Drain. Cool and peel.
These eggs look like they have been carved from marble and I oftentimes serve
them at feast lunches where being period is not an issue.
