I don't think I have anything about gilding with a spray can, but there is
some info on gilding with real gold foil in this file in the FOOD-SWEETS
section of my Florilegium:
sotelties-msg (169K) 1/ 8/99 Sotelties and Warners - decorated food.

And various things on nuts in this file in the FOOD section:
nuts-msg (47K) 2/ 1/99 Nuts, acorns, nut flours in medieval foods.
(There is also the SCA-STORIES section, but I don't think you are speaking
of those kinds of nuts. :-) )
