SC - Koser foods - history query

The Mishna, Talmud and Shulchan Aruch to name a few books go into great
detail.  I have a couple of books, one specifically is called Kosher,
another is called The Royal Table.  My suggestion is go to your local
synagogue or locate a Lubavitch establishment (Chabad houses are usually
found at universities and they have a web site) and ask if you can borrow a
book on keeping kosher.  My local synagogue does that.
