Greetings! I am posting this for Stephen Bloch who is no longer
subscribed to the Cooks' List. He would like to chat with folk who
might have done some research in this area. He sends:

>Deborah and I have been playing recently with a high-accuracy
>14th-century living history group (www.labelle.org). For a recent
>"timeline" event (at which a bunch of living-history groups from
>different eras get together, set up camps open to the public, and
>compete with one another), we planned our table service from Russell
>and related sources, and put on a very impressive show; I'm thinking
>of developing that same research into a class on table service,
>possibly adding in some material on what dishes get served in which
>course. Do you know of other people researching this area, with whom
>I could compare notes?
