Yes, I just saw that. I now understand better your concerns and interests. And
I agree that the book as currently written might not do well as a simple
translation. Various pieces though... which brings us to:

I would love to have these. If short, I will add them to appropriate files
such as the info on whey preservation which went in the new fd-Iceland-msg
file. If longer, and able to stand on their own, as seperate articles with
your byline. Various copyright notices and reprint permissions are possible
and we can discuss this offline to determine which you prefer.

I will try to make them available as quick as possible. As I am now running
the website, new files are usually up within days after I finish editing them.
Because of their likely length, I think you should send them to me and I
will announce when each is available here on this list. I can send a copy
of any of files by email if anyone does not have web access. Of course if
anyone has objections to this, they can speak up and you can post them to
this list.

No, I get 'fi', 'fl', '<' and '>' for those four characters. But again, this
is from the digest and not directly from the list. We'll have to work on
any files you send me on a case by case basis. Unfortunately, even if we
manage to keep the special characters in the Word and HTML formats I use,
I end up losing them when it is converted to text format. Right now I'm
translating to HTML from the text format with Netscape as I don't have another
HTML converter program that has worked well (Word and Framemaker had problems).
If someone else has experience in this, please contact me by email. I'd love 
to improve the quality of the HTML formatted files in the Florilegium. I
do think my current method produces better files than the method Greg Lindahl
used on the old site, but it does take more time and it's all hand editing
instead of automatic.
