Mary and Martha were sisters of Lazarus and friends of Christ.  One day when
CHrist was speaking with the apostles and others, Mary came to listen while
poor Martha was busy preparing the meal and doing all the domestic stuff.
Martha objected to being left to do all the work on her own...
