Correct but these were not  'Inns'. There is a description in Le Managier 
which says  that if you find your self in an in find yourself some   meat 
broth and add spices and then eggs for a soup. I suspect that from this 
description inss  , at least in the 14th century were not noted for an 
abundance of food.
