Hello the list!  I've finally made it to a machine, so greetings from 
Belgium at long last (note the new address).
There is actually a recipe for vine leaves in the English corpus only about 
60 years OOP:  Lady Ann Blencowe, IIRC, records one entitled 'To make a 
delma'.  It's quoted in Elisabeth Ayrton's 'Cookery of England'.  Not that 
I'm saying it was eaten on a daily basis by the Elizabethans (pity, they 
might have been healthier), but it's an interesting thought nonetheless.  
Another useless souvenir from the Grand Tour??
It's really easy to salt the leaves yourself, and they keep for ages;  at 
least mine did until I dropped them.
