amblongus
amblongus [am-BLOH-nguz] These rare Cornish berries are cultivated solely in
the private gardens of retired and cantakerous fisherman along the
stormswept southwest coast of England. Known for their pungent aroma and
bitter aftertaste, amblongusses are most often used as a meat tenderizer,
and as the main ingredient in Amblongus Pie, an entirely ficticious
concoction invented by Edward Lear. See also CRUMBOBBLIOUS; GOSKY PATTIES.
