Stefan has an extensive listing of period camp food as does Cariadoc in his 
Miscellany. Also you may want to chat with Phlip a bit. She produced 
consistently period-like and very tasty food in our camp last pennsic with 
what appeared to be little or no effort whenever it was her turn to cook. I 
am positive she would be able to give you practical advice in this matter as 
would Margali and Mordonna..
