thanks for the work BTW on those expiration codes.

However except for Julian codes (e.g. 352 = dec 31) which are based on the 
day, or open codes e.g. mar10199, most manufacturers will add digits to 
indicate the day of the week, shift and often the line used to pack products. 
 Unfortunately there are no real standards so its often hard to translate the 
codes you find on most packaged goods.  Like you did, contacting the 
manufacturer is the best bet if in doubt.
