Interestingly enough, the French are 'still' using the design in the
eighteenth century. Probably one of the few weapons to either continue
into the French and Indian wars, or possibly to be resurected for it,
likely as a trade item. I certainly like to throw mine, it has a slower
rotation than my more British style hand axe. It's nice to see a real
Medieval design that's still around into modern times.
