The original calls for sprinkling on water as you grind "so they will 
not produce oil." Have you tried doing it that way, to see if it 
makes any difference? Similarly, have you tried actually pounding 
them in a mortar, which sounds as though it is what Platina is 
describing, to see how similar the result is to grinding in a blender?

Similar questions with regard to the final sentence of the original, 
which you also don't describe doing in your redaction.
