If stored properly (cool, dark and airy) onions will last for months

Why the instant crap^Wversions? Get the real stuff instead.

are period.
Don't forget that you will need to cook your food as well. A few pots
for the open fire, an axe for the firewood and a good flint & steel set.
Oh, and some tinder-fungi[1], must not forget the tinder.
