Ahh French Toast one of my favorite. It's like a pallate for the breakfast
artist! My mother seemed to always add fresh grated nutmeg into the egg/ milk
dip.
Some favorites of mine: raspberry syrup or orange marmalade or apple butter
or powdered sugar and a squeeze of lemon juice or prepared one time by Moonwulf,
sour cream and powdered sugar. I actually tried the sprinkled with rosewater it
was interesting, but I really think I like the sweeter versions better.
The all time decadent french toast was made with pound cake, half and half
infused with a vanillia bean, eggs, sugar and topped with homade blackberry
jelly. It was unbelievably rich, sweet and delicious. Quite a memorable
breakfast. :-)
