A side note to my good friend Ras:
the Indians which were trading with the French Heugenots at Ft Caroline (and 
consequently were in contact with the English rescue mission by Sir John Hawkins) 
were NOT the Seminoles, they were the Timucuas. for their diet, and life style I offer

The Seminoles did not establish in Florida until all the Mission culture had been 
wiped out by war and disease, in the mid 1700's!!  Reference:
