Up this way (Ealdormere), a cloven orange is presented to someone and
a clove is taken out of the orange by your teeth. It is then at the
discretion of the recipient what type of exchange takes place.
Sometimes you really want to just shake hands...and
sometimes...well...<insert visual moment of choice here>

This way no one gets offended and a silly little tradition is kept
alive. Alive and well in Ealdormere anyway. :)
