Cuskynoles. One of the few period recipes that comes with a diagram.
It set off quite an argument between a few of the folks on this list.
It went on for a rather long time and since that time has gotten tossed
around a lot in humor. For a small summary of the cuskynole argument
check this file in the FOOD section of my Florilegium:
cuskynoles-msg    (12K)  9/16/99    A medieval fruit-filled pasta dish.

Had I saved the entire thread, I suspect it would have easily been ten
to twenty times this large. Cuskynoles are basically a fruit-filled
ravioli-like dish.
