SFAIK, asbestos T-tunics were not used during period as protection for people 
that had been consigned to the flames. Documentation and sources, please? As 
both costumer and cook, I would find this information invaluable especially 
if it can be ascertained that this material was also used in the garb of 
medieval cooks.
