Because it was served or created at the Watergate Hotel, perhaps? 

Many things that a large number of the people in our current society 
associate with 'bad' things were not necessarily bad before. This applies to 
many things both socially, politically and personally. I won't give any 
examples because it would cause a firestorm. :-)
