SC - Roasting meats

Puck... Your house sounds like my house.  My hubby brought home a system
from work that they had given him to be able to work if it snows.  It was
(note my use of the word there) a Pentium II 450.  Now I am using that box
(sans processor, hubby gave me his celeron 450) and my old system is going
to be used as a server for the ISDN line his company is running to our
house.  So right now server is a Pentium 266, my system is a celeron 450
with a Matrox G400 video card, 264 meg of memory, scanner and laser printer,
hubby's system is a Pentium III 450 with TNT II Ultra and fully ultra II
SCSI.  I keep getting told every time a new component comes out how outdated
his computer is.

Thank you Lady.  The scanner is here, the new speakers, the keyboard, mouse
and stuff, and the new programming is being loaded as we speak.  Soon I will
have to disconnect and start testing etc. but whooey!  If it all works when
done......  Funny, the reason I'm doing this is a) to be better able to work
on Thomas' texts but more importantly to b) give my smalls a modern computer
for Yule so they can join us in the ether! (they're getting this one).  I'm
prolly more excited than they will be as I get all the new bells and
whistles!
