CookCon is a non-SCA conference being held in Colorado Springs next
January. There've been several announcements on this list, but it's easy
to miss things in the heavy list traffic.

Our guests are Caroline Yeldham from the UK and Professor Mary Ella Milham
from Canada (she published the new Platina translation last year). We
have a hotel with a very nice room rate and a lovely brand new facility
for classes and cooking and feasting all in one building.

Classes and papers scheduled so far are:

The Pantry and the Tower of Babel
Culinary Sources for the French Renaissance
Platina
A History of Confectionary
Preparation of a French Renaissance Feast
Food in Renaissance Art
Blades in the Kitchen: A Practicum on Knives and Knife Sharpening
Making Sugar Plate
Culinary Recreation at Kentwell Manor
Early German Cookbooks
Translating Kitchen Terminology
Elizabethan Cooking
Recipes from the Manor Kitchen

The web site for the event is at:

Thanks for your interest, Victoria, please spread the word.
