So you're telling me this torsk is sold fresh? Hmmm. The word is Norse,
I believe, and pretty clearly refers to cod or similar
species........... Upon checking with A.J. MacLane's Encyclopedia of
fish cookery and Mark Kurlansky's book on cod, it seems I've been
confusing torsk, denoting cod or codlike fish, with torrfisk, the
air-dried preparation, usually, of cod or codlike fish ;  ) . My error.
