SC - Thanksgiving & Cooking gifts

Well, friends, Iam spending my Thanksgivein in a VERY non-traditional manner. 
 
I do not plan to do anything tomorrow.  My housemates are taking my grandson 
and their two kids to their grandmother's house for the day.  I have been 
invited, but I declined.  I NEED a day of rest.  I'm gonna sleep, and read my 
e-mail, and maybe a book or two.  
The bursitis I have developed in my left hip has reached new levels of pain 
in the last week, and I am worn out from fighting the pain.  If I am not 
better by Monday, the doctor is going to prescribe pain killers.  Anyone who 
knows me well knows that I must be in tremendous pain to even consider the 
thought.
It's not fun getting old.  Raising a fifteen month old boy is fun, but it 
takes a lot of energy, and all of mine is being sapped by this pain.
I better go.  I'm starting to sound like I'm feeling sorry for myself.
Whatever your personal beliefs, and whatever Higher Power you look to, would 
you please put in a good word for me?
