    Not among my acquaintances, at least, but it's certainly possible, local 
variations being what they are. And yes, you are correct about the pepper 
sauce. My Mom used to make this regularly, though they no longer do enough 
gardening to have the peppers, and haven't gotten around to buying any. I 
suppose there are places you could purchase pepper vinegar, but I haven't 
noticed it in the grocery stores. Probably have to go to a gourmet store and 
pay five prices, which my thrifty soul screams in outrage over for such a 
simple item! ;-) 
    Maybe next year I'll get my seeds started in time to have a large enough 
crop for this...........
