 Hi,
I was told that the green - purple peppers could not be eaten. The ones
I
saw came with a tag that says ornamental use only. Can they be eaten? I
would
have bought the bush if it could have been eaten.

 Thanks,
 Helen

Hard to tell, since I don't know the botanical name, if we are talking about
the same plant. But it is also possible that someone unaware of the potency
of these tiny peppers might decie they were inedible. I am a pepper lover, I
eat all kinds of peppers with just a bit of bread, or a mouthful of beer.
But these beauties I have to eat very judicioiusly. A tiny bite, followed by
a large bite of a quesadilla, for instance, or some homemade cornbread,
followed by a large slug of milk or beer.
