What would you like to receive as your holiday gift this year? Is there any
shiny bauble that you have been eyeing in that kitchen store window? What
are you realistically hoping for and what is the toy beyond your wildest
dreams? What about Cookbooks? (I figure that books need their own category
 :-) )

I would love a period looking fire pit, we use one Lord Davor made from a 55
gallon drum cut long ways, and it is perfectly serviceable, especially since
he made it specifically for my height, BUT it does little to add to the
"Period" look of our encampment. I would also love a set of stone ware
measuring cups I've seen around town. And a mug of my own that does not have
a non-period ad on it, or someone else's name, or a chip, or a crack or a
leak. I had a perfectly lovely wooden mug that held about a pint, and was
shaped like a brandy snifter. Someone at last Highlands (probably my
daughter) decided it would make a great candleholder. The wax has permeated
the wood and the upper half is scorched and sooty.
As for my Dream Kitchem Toy, Ithink it would be just that: a dream kitchen:
Gas ovens, a gas range with a grill and at least six large eyes, Large,
commercial size freezers and coolers, a butcher block table, TONS of counter
and cabinet space, and all the appliances and bells and whistles.
