Umm, if you're going to survive, you'll need lots of water, whether you have
it in your beans or whatever, or whether you drink it plain. That's why
Chirurgeon's always have lots of it on hand- you can survive a lot longer
with no food than you can with no water.

I'd suggest, if you're serious about this, you go to your local restaurants,
whatever you have in the area which deep fries foods, and start collecting
their empty cooking oil jugs- they're about 3 to 5 gallons, usually- and
fill them, unless you intend to ensure your water supply with one of those
big plastic tanks we use aroung here to fill cisterns and the like. If you
get them, you can fill them with hot soapy water, about halfway, shake them,
then empty them into the next container, to conserve soapy water. You can
use this for three to five jugs at a time. Next, half fill them with strong
bleach water, and do the same, passing it along, though 1 c bleach to 2
gallons of water will do for 8 - 10 rinses. Then rinse your jugs with fresh
water and fill and stash.

If you don't have enough time to clean them all, use the uncleaned ones for
cooking water or pet water- they're drinkable if you need to, but the oily
water doesn't taste very good plain, though it doesn't hurt you or taste bad
in your spaghetti or sauce, or your beans, or whatever.

Warning- if you're low on water and conserving it extremely, don't eat.
Water is a necessity for digestion, and your body will take it from the rest
of your system for that purpose, this turning minor dehydration into life
threatening dehydration. Unless, of course, you feel that your brain and
circulatory system need to dry out a lot.....

Phlip, who has long since learned that "necessities" like hot-n-cold running
water, are merely a convenience....

The World's Need

So many Gods, so many creeds,
So many paths that wind and wind,
When just the art of being kind
Is all this sad world needs.
