His grace Duke Sir Cariadoc has 2 volumes of copies of period cookery manuals 
that are available for a very reasonable cost. Some of the works it contains 
are also available in hard back but an independently published single 
manuscript would easily cost 5 times the total cost of his complete 
collection.

There are also numerous works archived on-line which are freely available for 
individual research and study.
