A suggestion, dear Cousin Phillipa....

Don't know how much oil you can take, but at the Oaken Rum last weekend,
Master Llewellen got me thinking about hot salads in his class on feeding
people greens, so when we got home to Duke Andrew's that night, I made him a
hot salad with what we had on hand. He was very reluctant at first, but
three helpings later it was GONE!

I took carrots, onions, celery, and garlic and sauteed them in a bit of
olive oil until tender, then threw some spinach in until it was just wilted
and dressed it with balsamic vinegar. Might be an option for your
Thanksgiving dinner- it's quick and easy to do.
