The original for the savory toasted cheese is in Digby, and is redacted in
Cariadoc's Miscellany, although Kael has changed the proportions of
Cariadoc's redaction around a bit to suit his taste.
The stew was done by one of the exhibitors, and it's actually apples and
lamb, not beef. It also includes camphor, musk, and rosewater amongst the
spices. I've always been leery of including things like camphor and musk in
food, and I don't care much for rosewater, but that stew was really good.
