    I was wondering if anyone knows of any texts - either ancient or
modern - that compare the uses of various foodstuffs - meat, spices, fruit
and vegetables - and the differences in food preperation techniques between
different parts of the Empire and the west - eg France vs Northern Italy -
or comparisons between West, Byzantium and/or the Middle East.
    If anyone needs me to clarify any part of that "sentence", just hollar
