Okay, the first one is a place called Jeffrey's, in Santa Cruz.
Conveniently located right across the street from the Santa Cruz Medical
Center Emergency Room <g>.

The second is The Fountain restaurant in the San Jose Fairmont hotel.

And the third is the Blue Bayou restaurant at Disneyland.

OK, spill the beans, errr, powdered sugar... Where in California do
you recommend?

There USED to be a place here in Berkeley that made 'em, and when i
was in the mood for a fried cholesterol treat, i'd get a Monte Cristo
there - with ham, deep fried, coated with eggy batter may have had
some flour in it, served topped with powdered sugar.

Last time i went in, the Monte Cristo was no longer on the menu :-(
Then they went out of business and now there's an Eddy Bauer there
and they don't serve Monte Cristo sandwiches.
