So where did the name "French" Toast ever come from? And when? I've 
started a file for the Florilegium with all these period recipes similar 
to French Toast that have been given. I imagine for now that I will call it
French-toast-msg unless there is a more period name that covers these
things. At least this name will let most folks have an idea of what
might be in the file.
