Despite myth to the contrary, there seem to be quite a few Italian Pasta
recipes predating Marco Polo. I think there may be one in Apicius???? or is
there, sorry , my (regrettable) Vehling is packed with my other cookbooks for
moving, and I have been unable to get a Flowers....but I seem to remember
something about flour, and water and good broth..........
So, if there is a Roman recipe for pasta, how could there be Italian recipes
pre-dating Pasta??
